It’s also not a region that’s visited as much by foreign tourists to the UK who tend to use London as a base and explore the sites in the South. This is a bit of a shame; there’s many beautiful and historic sites up here, plus some of the country’s most vibrant cities. I may be biased of course; I am very much a Northerner.
