I grew up in Liverpool, and our local radio stations covered North Wales. As a kid, we’d go on school trips along the coast, and to an outward bound centre near the border. My mother moved to a house in Wirral where she could even see it from her back garden.
Despite this, Wales has, compared to Scotland anyway, not been a place I visited that much growing up. This is a shame, as there’s an awful lot to see in such a small region. Castles, obviously, but also scenery, beaches, and a great deal of other history.
