This is the webpage for my podcast – “Travel Tales From Beyond The Brochure”.

I had the idea to create a podcast back in 2017, but I was reluctant to do so at first. This was partly because I didn’t think I had anything interesting to say, but mainly because I knew I’d be doing it alone and was sure people would get bored of my voice. After all, most podcasts have either a couple of hosts, or are interview-based.

A year later and I finally decided ‘what the hell’. This is the result. It’s a roughly weekly series (with large gaps, because me). In ‘Travel Tales Beyond the Brochure’, I look at lesser-visited locations, and venture deeper into the history of places in general. I go into about other aspects of travel, with some discussion of ‘how’ and ‘why’ we travel the way we do. I also talk about the politics of travel – topics like sexuality and privilege.
