Bottled Water – observation

This is only a small thing, but I’ve noticed on my travels an obsession with bottled water being fizzy as standard. I first really noticed it in Ukraine, but here in Chile it’s just exacerbated.

Basically, it seems that if you ask for water, they give you fizzy. You seem to have to specifically ask for non-fizzy water. And in the shops, most of the bottles are fizzy. Whereas in England, it just feels that the vast majority of bottled water available tends to be still, and you have to actively seek out fizzy.

Granted in Chile you can drink the tap water, for the most part, but it’s more when I’m travelling out and about that I’m noticing this …
